At university I was a bouldering instructor with a backpacking invention. I started buying and selling vintage polaroid cameras to students which developed into all types of vintage to antique photography equipment. From there I ended up working estate sales and dealing in a wider array of pieces from developing clients antique clock collections to unique oddities for fellow students. This led me to working with many of the antique galleries and appraisers throughout the city. All of these skills were compiled into my job under Lark Mason at his auction house and gallery, iGavel, in New Braunfels, Texas. Here I was able to polish some skills as well as develop new ones, such as: staging exhibitions, traveling to catalog and pack collections all over the country, photography, property management, facilities management, and working important exhibitions. After selling my personal collection that I had developed in the years prior, I left my job at Lark Mason Associates and used the funds from my collection to move to New York City to pursue my Graduate Gemologist degree at the Gemological Institute of America. As a student at GIA I discovered my love of gemology and jewelry design.
